GLYSANTIN® ECO BMB
According to BASF’s biomass balance approach (BMB), renewable raw materials such as bio-naphtha or biomethane from organic waste, agricultural products or vegetable oils are already used as raw materials in the manufacture of basic chemical products. The proportion of renewable raw materials is then allocated to specific sales products according to REDcert2 standard, certified by TÜV Nord.
The production of GLYSANTIN® ECO BMB products reduces CO2 emissions, thereby contributing to the conservation of precious fossil resources. In Europe, the 1-litre bottles of our GLYSANTIN® products are also manufactured using recycled plastic waste, thus supporting the circular economy and further contributing to the conservation of fossil resources.

Independent sustainability certification by TÜV Nord according to the REDcert2 standard
In EMEA, BASF has implemented a closed control chain. This encompasses the entirety of the value chain within BASF, from renewable raw materials utilized to the final product. An independent certification body (TÜV Nord) attests to the fact that fossil resources employed at the beginning of the value chain are replenished by precisely the required amounts of renewable raw materials to produce biomass-balanced (BMB) products. The accurate allocation of renewable raw materials quantities corresponding to the GLYSANTIN® products is validated and certified in accordance with the REDcert2 standard.

Our GLYSANTIN® 1-liter bottles are post consumer recycled (PCR)
Recycling is a beneficial practice that allows plastic waste to be recycled in order to recover raw materials. It reduces waste and saves resources. This is what we are implementing with GLYSANTIN® in its new, 1-liter bottles available in the European, Middle Eastern and African regions. The bottles are made from recycled material. The 1-litre bottles of GLYSANTIN® G30®, G40®, G64®, G65® (concentrates and ready mix) consist of 85% recycled material (PCR). We invite you to join us in our practice and put your empty bottle into the proper recycling system.
